The Mitchell and Hilarie Morgan Residence Hall and Dining Complex at Temple University opened in the Fall of 2013. The 33-story-structure includes two residence buildings, a dining hall and a 30,000 square-foot terrace. Morgan Hall is designed to inspire learning and collaboration and to connect students to the surrounding Philadelphia area.
Temple University worked with MGA Partners Architects and Knoll to select refined, high-quality designs that reflect the university's commitment to excellence and innovation. For its outdoor spaces, the university selected the durable Stromborg Table, with clean lines and a broad palette of finishes appropriate for indoor or outdoor use. The tables are complemented by blue and grey Spark® Series side chairs.
In the dining hall, Sprite stacking chairs are paired with Antenna® tables. Composed of two tubular steel rails connected to steel end legs with cast aluminum cradles, Antenna® tables are strong and sleek. Dormitory rooms also feature Antenna® tables with MultiGeneration by Knoll® chairs, which offer a responsive, open design that supports multiple postures and encourage natural movement.
Community spaces feature a range of lounge furniture from KnollStudio®. Bertoia Diamond chairs, Bertoia Bird chairs, Maya Lin Stones and Pfister sofas create welcoming environments that foster a sense of community among residents.
